AlgoRhythm is one part voice recorder, one part instant song machine. The app opens on the recording screen and begins recording with a single tap, providing the immediacy and simplicity needed for spontaneous song ideas. A library of song templates can transform the user's recorded voice into a variety of song styles to help inspire the creative process. I conducted human-centered generative research to drive ideation around the function of the app, and created interface designs and renderings

Forlola is a digital rattle I developed after watching my niece (Lola) playing with her mom’s phone as a toddler. Even the simplest apps at the time had menus and buttons that would cause her to get stuck on a screen that she didn’t want to be on. I wanted to create something as simple as a rattle that was easy to interact with and full of fun colors and sounds. Kids could simply drag the shapes around and laugh at the silly sounds as the shapes spring back into place. Shaking the device switches to the next screen and loads a set of random sounds. The app can also be used as an aid for learning basic shapes and colors. Forlola was built using the Cinder C++ library and sold several copies on the app store.
